MANDATORY GUIDELINES FOR PARTICIPANTS
All participants must remain in period attire at all times (1760-1840).
APPLICATION FOR CAMPSITE, COMPETITION FEES, CRAFTERS, MERCHANTS
Due no later than 5:00 p.m. Monday, July 15th, 2024.
Late applications will be accepted at an increased fee of $50 until 5:00 p.m. Friday, August 16th.
JURIED PARTICIPANT CATEGORIES
PARTICIPANTS/PROGRAM PERSONNEL – Individuals or groups in this category are primarily those representing some aspect of life during the 18th- 19th Century time period of 1760-1840, including campers, civilians, militia, military, and such.
TRADITIONAL CRAFTSPEOPLE – All crafters must demonstrate a craft of the time period and produce replicas using tools and equipment that are also time-period appropriate. Traditional crafters may sell their hand-made goods. Crafters must be on site during the event hours of operation.
MERCHANT – Merchants may sell time period trade goods from a shelter. Shelters must meet period specifications. All goods sold must be approved by the Rendezvous staff. A “License to Trade” must be acquired at the Registration Station before sales begin.
BLANKET TRADER – Blanket Traders may sell period-appropriate trade goods from a blanket or skin laid on the ground. Display space size is that of a four-point blanket (72” x 90” = 45 square feet). All goods sold must be approved by Rendezvous staff. A “License to Trade” must be acquired at the Registration Station before sales begin.
Youth Long Bow – Note Youth Long Bow Competitors will consist of grades 4-12 in school year 2024- 2025. If you graduated in 2024, you would compete as an adult.
Competition Standards
Competition Rules and Governance – Note all Long Hunter Rendezvous Competitors will be governed by the same standard Rules and Regulation of the NMLRA
Prescription eye glasses and prescription safety glasses will be allowed. Safety glasses are required and will be provided but you are welcome to bring your own.
